A sneaky weekend in Goa

This weekend, we broke our rule of only visiting a place once while in India - we revisited Goa.  The last trip there was so much fun but we had some room issues on our last night and the management provided us with a free nights accommodation.  So, who are we to refuse ?!  We really needed to use it before we go back to Australia for the summer, and this was our last available weekend.

We were only going for two nights but with it being such a short trip to get there (just over 4 hours door to door) it is well worth the effort.  The Leela resort is beautiful and the service is very very good and provides some western luxuries as well.  As soon as you arrive and they give you a blessing, bindi and fresh coconut milk , you feel right at home.  The boys were quick to don the swimmers and jump in the pool.

We didn't do any sightseeing (at all…) and I think that is the way the boys like our holidays - a little less culture.  We managed to spend the weekend running between the pool and the beach - with the boys preferring the beach every time !  The resort and beach were very quiet and we often felt that we were the only people there.  The resort had a conference going on, which made the days very very quiet around the resort.  We must say, Goa has been great to visit for a weekend getaway.
