Empty Nest

So now the adventure really begins.  We have moved out of our house and the tenants move in today. It is very weird leaving our lovely home completely empty but I keep reminding myself that it is just a house.  We are now in a 2 bedroom apartment until the end of June when we fly out.  The boys think it's great - going in a lift every day, sleeping in the same room, going out for dinner more often - it's the small things :)

We had the loveliest farewell party on Saturday night with so many wonderful friends and family coming to celebrate our 40th birthdays but also to say goodbye.  I am sure there were many sore heads on Sunday including Mike's !  I have attached a couple of photos from the night.  It was a Bollywood night - just in case it isn't obvious.

We are getting very excited about the big move now, as we are now living out of suitcases for 8 weeks.  So if you bump in to us and we have been in the same clothes for the last week, that is why. The whole house has been divided into 4 locations - ship, plane, apartment or storage.  It was very weird to see it all go out the door into the truck.  Lets hope my colour coded sticker system worked or we could have all the garden tools and no pots and pans !!!
