Last week was both the boys birthdays so we decided to have a small get together here at home for them and a few friends. I hunted down some familiar ingredients and made some fun foods. Sausage rolls, rice bubble marshmallow snacks, milo biscuits, fairy bread..... The boys thought it was great. A donut cake was the main attraction - thank goodness for Krispe Kreme!!
We only had 12 children come, but it was lovely and the parents all relaxed with a glass of wine or beer and got to know each other a lot better.
The party ended at 5pm but our lovely Dutch neighbours stayed and we had an impromptu party for 12.... The kids had a great time and so did the adults. Too much beer/wine consumed but lots of laughs.
It's lovely to know we have some like minded people with lovely children who will celebrate with us.
