Mozzie Man

Each afternoon at about 6pm, there is the wonderful sound of the mozzie man riding around the neighbourhood. As it is monsoon season here it is at this time that the dreaded mozzies start to really come out with a vengeance.  He is an elderly man on a push bike that has a motor on the back that pumps out smoke.  I assume it is some sort of kerosene smoke which kills/deters the mozzies.  He ride's, with gas mask firmly affixed, up and down each avenue within Palm Meadows.  At first I thought it was a waste of time but now that we are settled in our new house, it is clear it does actually have some benefit.

However, if you're out running or walking home from the clubhouse and you hear that motor approaching, dive out of the way, because that smoke is a killer !!
